CONFERENCES
| The Swiss Foundation for World Affairs convened a two-part conference series with the noted sociologist Amitai Etzioni to discuss Etzioni's book From Empire to Community: A New Approach to International Relations. In his book, Etzioni challenges contemporary thinking around the structure of international institutions. He challenges the world to consider pioneering forms of global governance beyond the projection of Western philosophy and work toward establishing a more collaborative, culturally integrated and universally empowered authority that can attend to simmering transnational problems and establish a credible new global order.
